Shake those Hips!

This is Lana's new favorite song by Carrie Underwood called "American Girl". You can hear bits of it until Dani decides to change songs. Lana is very fond of Carrie Underwood and listens to her CDs every night for bed.

Dani doing a Somersault

Ok, it's with help, but she's only 13 months and already trying to do a somersault. Our future Wheaties box covergirl and Olympian!

Lana's Dance Class

Lana has a new dance instructor, Miss Sharon. We really like her. She gives each student a necklace and each class they get a bead to add to their necklace. Lana has announced to Mommy and Daddy that someday she will be on High School Musical (a Disney Show) and will be on stage just like Carrie Underwood. What great dreams!

Happy Hawaii Birthday Daddy!

Hula, Hula, Hula!

It's so cute how children can make friends with other children who are complete strangers. Just throw in a little music, and viola! Instant buddies!

With all the activities we paid for, the one Lana still talks about was Whaler's Village free Hula Show.

This is Mommy's friend Tara, and her daughters Aiyana & Kaya, whom we met up with on our layover in Salt Lake City. We hadn't seen them for 3 years, and it was amazing to see how much Aiyana and Kaya have grown.

The "Ocean View" off our deck. It wasn't perfect, but we could still sit out there and see the ocean and hear the waves.

Lana learning to Hula

Lana & Daddy dancing the Hula and the Hyatt's Luau.

Lana just loved the sand!

Weeee! High jumping over Daddy!

Sand Castles!
Lana was in heaven.
It's amazing how kids don't care about getting sand everywhere.....hair, mouth, bottom, hands.

Dani experiencing the ocean for the first time. She loved it so much that she kept wanting to go out again and again.

Happy Hawaii Birthday Daddy!

We had a small birthday celebration in our condo with cake. Daddy opened his present (a new watch).

Dinner at the Hula Grill. The ocean is just behind the restaurant. Notice Damon's serious Fu Fu drink! I don't think we'll see him with an umbrella drink while dining with his buddies.

Look at me! I am walking! And I'm in Hawaii!

This grin is just priceless. We are waiting to be seated at the Hula Grill in Whaler's Village, and Dani decided it was time to show off.

Awe, whale watching....it was definately a once in lifetime moment, especially for Dani. Here she is just before she started turning multiple shades of green and subsequently getting sea-sick. Daddy and Mommy took turns holding her on the back of the boat, while we tried to convince Lana that the whales were not going to eat us. At one point we were surrounded by 5 whales, 3 in the front and 2 in the back, and Lana was SCARED! She didn't quite understand that these gigantic fish were harmless. Looking back, it was an awesome sight to see so many whales and so close, but I think we should have waited about 5 more years.
Poor Dani, she now gets sick on turbulent planes, boats, and in the car. Hopefully she'll out grow it.
