A Little Pat on my own Back

The neighbors and us have been talking about fixing our fence and putting a gate between our yards to make it easier for our kids to play. They mentioned trying to do it this week because they have the time. So, Mommy went to Home Depot and bought the materials and planned with the neighbors to start this morning. Mommy started at 9 a.m., the neighbor kids came over to play around 9:45 and then they all left to go to the mall at 10:15. So, the joint project became a solo project, well except for the 9 year old who helped hold a 4x4. aaarghhh!!! (at least they gave me a "thank you" card this evening)

Great American BBQ

We spent the evening at the Great American BBQ that was taking place near our hometown. There was a carnival there and the girls had a fun time. Daddy even joined Lana and Dani in the bouncer. Please forgive the low quality videos, they were taken with my cell phone.

I Love Somebody, the photos

Today was Lana's 1st dance recital. She was so excited to get ready for it. Lana had the complete "up do" with nails, hair, makeup, and costume. It was precious!

You can hear Dani in the background "Lana, Lana!" For the entire recital, whenever she saw a girl who vaguely resembled Lana, she would hollar her name. It was impossible to quiet our little 16 month old who loves her big sister.

Lana's Summer Haircut

Lana had been asking me to cut her hair shorter, "Mommy, I want my hair like yours."

Well, after one more morning full of tears because of the knots in her long hair, mommy gave in. This evening after baths, out came the scissors, and off went 4 inches.

Lana is excited and says, "I'm going to call myself 5 (years) now, cause I look like a big girl!"

Can't go Inside

Because we are refinishing our wood floors, we have been staying outside long hours for the past week. The girls are loving it!
