We enjoyed our first day at Silver Dollar City for 2009. Lana enjoyed the elephants and Dani tried the kiddie coaster for her first time. They all rode the teacups with Daddy, but only Lana was smiling upon exit. The train ride was a hit. At the end of a fun day, everyone was tired and didn't even try to smile for an exit picture....Nap Time!
(photo taken by Lana) Lana is big enough for most of the rides. She eventually will figure out that if Daddy is taking her, it might be a scary ride, and if mommy is taking her, it will never be a scary ride. Lana did go on her first (and probably last) roller-coaster.
With so many of our loved ones unable to see us often, we thought this would be a perfect way to bring you into our world. It's a hectic one: Lana attending gymnastics, preschool, children's choir, and playing with her friends. Danica keeping up her precocious almost 3 year old self, attending preschool, playing with Lana, and helping Mommy with Derek. Derek eating, sleeping, peeing & pooping, and growing with lots of smiles and a little crying thrown in. Daddy bonding with everyone while he is in job transition. And Mommy, just trying to keep up with the 3 kids, housework, yardwork, wifework. Oh, and we must not forget the 3 members of our family not in the picture, our personal zoo: Max, Gracie, and Artu. Yes, it's a fun, crazy, and noisy life of giggling children one minute, meltdowns the next, and some dog barking and bird squaking thrown in. But as you'll see in the pictures and videos, we absolutely love it!
